Natural Skin Care Blog: Articles

This is a recent article from the Huffington Post about natural skin care and why it is so important to your overall health. They discuss using holistic and organic skin care to liven up "dewy" skin as well as a good care regimen. The article also discusses how to chose the right natural skin care for your specific needs.

My personal take on this article is that it is super helpful. They explain your skin in a sense that it is a part of your body, and in fact makes up the largest portion, and that you eat healthy and you should feed your skin healthy as well. They discuss eating right, taking supplements such as fish or flax seed oil, and wearing sun protection. This article really puts natural skin care into a perspective that is easy to understand. Nourish your skin, nourish your body. I love this article!

This article is another good natural skin care one. It is an overview of different products and why they are natural and free of harsh chemicals. Younique did not make it on that list, but have no fear, they too are free of harsh chemicals.

This site is wonderful for many different types of updates and discussions. I particularly like this article about the benefits of honey on your skin and in wounds. I use Manuka honey on my face whenever I have a breakout. It heals and removes the bacteria as it is a natural antibacterial agent. That is why this natural products is a powerful natural skin care product.

Manuka honey facial: apply 1 tbsp of manuka honey to your face, allow to sit for 10-15 min, rinse off. You will see and feel a huge difference.

You can purchase Manuka honey at amazon. Link:

It is great for things ranging from Acne, Eczema, Bruises, as well as rejuvenates and naturally cleanses your skin. It even tightens up your skin and helps reduce cellulite. It is made from bentonite clay and has been said to be used by Cleopatra 1800 years ago. To create a wonderful Indian Clay mask, add to water and apply to your face.
